Diagnostics Airbag/Body Systems
The Airbag system if fitted to your car has a built in self diagnose check.
After your car has been started the airbag check light should turn off if however the airbag light stays illuminated then this indicates a fault on the airbag or safety restraint system.
Do not worry as if a fault is detected this automatically disables the airbag system, there is no danger of the airbag deploying at the wrong time.
A fault code scan will identify the circuit or component at fault. Some components may require further testing using specialised dedicated test equipment.
